AIA Ladies enjoyed an afternoon of tasty appetizers, yummy sweets and great conversation. Each person received a beautiful ornament from the gift exchange.

The AIA ESC Annual Children’s Holiday party was a success! The 19 families that attended enjoyed an afternoon of crafts, games, caroling and a visit from Santa Claus.

AIA members joined together on Sunday, November 28th at the Hilton Hotel for our annual Thanksgiving dinner. Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and more were on the menu and enjoyed by all! A special thanks to the Hilton Hotel who donated the ballroom and provided such great food.

Solidarity Day was held on Saturday, November 20.  The event was organized by Amicale Femmes and the proceeds benefit selected charity projects in the countries represented by the Council of Europe. Americans in Alsace sold used books and had face painting for the children. We raised a total of 566 Euros which we donated to Amicale Femmes.

On Sunday 17 October, 42 families gathered at GM’s cafeteria for AIA/ESC’s Annual Halloween Screamfest. Everyone had a frightfully good time.

The Children’s Activities Committee extends a huge THANK YOU to all the volunteers who offered their time to bake cookies, rearrange furniture, and tidy up. We couldn’t have done it without your support!

Under crystal blue skies and bright sunshine several families hiked around L’Etang De Hanau on Sunday, 10 October.

It’s time to renew your membership in AIA! The membership year is from June 1st to May 31st in accordance with our fiscal year. AIA runs the annual membership drive in September as many people move and are on vacation in the summertime. Anyone who has signed up for membership after June 1st does not need to renew.

18 AIAers visited the Robert Blanck winery in Obernai. They toured the cellar and learned about the process of making wine, how wine is stored, and how the barrels are emptied and cleaned. Following the tour, the group tasted four types of wine and learned about ideal pairings. It was a great afternoon in Obernai!
